Space Hangry Garden
A downloadable game for Windows
Space Hangry Garden is a bomberman-inspired game that we crafted in just five days during our first year of programming studies. Developed with C-SFML by a dedicated team of six fellow students and myself, this project blends classic bomberman mechanics with a quirky, interstellar twist.
In Space Hangry Garden, players navigate a dynamic, space-themed arena filled with obstacles and power-ups. The game challenges you to strategically place bombs, outmaneuver opponents, and create explosions that clear your path to victory—all while immersing you in a vibrant, cosmic setting.
This project was not only a test of our programming skills but also a celebration of creativity and teamwork. The rapid development process pushed us to innovate and collaborate effectively, making the final product a show our collective passion for game design and a memorable milestone in our early programming journey.
During this project, I mainly worked on the UI and transitions. I experimented with how I would build our UI system in preparation for our more ambitious project: A Steam Story.
